DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. Please be advised that this BAC calculator is meant only for informational purposes. This calculator will show the folly of drinking and driving and how easy it is to inadvertently exceed the .08 legal limit in all US states. Any other use of this calculator is unintentional and at the user's sole risk.

The calculator is built upon the formula used by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. That formula is a modified version of the Widmark Equation developed by E.M.P Widmark a century ago. The quantification of human conditions with the objective of determining their predictability in other humans is done in measures and not with absolute precision. The calculator determines probabilities, not sureties.

It can be seen in the calculator above that a person's weight, gender, and even metabolism can play a part in intoxication. The amount of alcohol ingested and the elapsed time from the commencement of drinking can also greatly influence a person's BAC. It should also be noted that some impairment will occur before legal intoxication is actually reached. Some states have taken notice of this and have enacted laws not only for driving while intoxicated, but for impaired driving (under .08) as well. DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
